Course description:

Extend your knowledge of regression to models that allow prediction of a dichotomous response variable or to model proportional-hazards survival times.

Topics covered:

• Binary logistic regression
  • Probabilities, odds and odds ratios
  • Interpretation of regression coefficients in a logistic regression model
  • Predictions from the model
     
• Cox-regression
  • Interpretation of regression coefficients in a proportional-hazards survival model

Attendees should have an understanding of SPSS equivalent to that taught in the Intro to SPSS course and knowledge of statistics equivalent to the Statistics I and Regression I courses.

Course attendees are required to bring their own laptop installed with a licensed copy of SPSS Base version 10 or above.
Laptops are available for hire at an additional cost.
