Course Description

This material is approximately what is covered in a typical first-year University applied statistics course, presented in a practical, hands-on manner. SPSS is used for all calculations.

Topics Covered
  • Hypothesis testing methodology
  • Chi-square tests
  • t-tests (one-sample, paired and two-sample)
  • Non-parametric tests
  • One-way ANOVA
    +  Pairwise comparisons via post-hoc testing
Assumed Knowledge

Attendees should have an understanding of SPSS equivalent to that taught in the Fast Track to SPSS course.
Experience with the generation of cross-tabs and summary statistics within SPSS and their interpretation is assumed.

Attendee Requirements

Course attendees are required to bring their own laptop installed with a licensed copy of SPSS Base version 10 or above.
Laptops are available for hire at an additional cost.

Class are limited to a maximum of 8 attendees.
